Get involved!

The Ellis Road PD&E Study will include an extensive public outreach effort. Opportunities for individuals to participate and provide input will be offered through a Public Workshop and a Public Hearing. Additional meetings can be arranged for groups or business associations by contacting the FDOT and/or Consultant project managers identified in the Contact Us section.

As part of the Ellis Road PD&E Study public involvement effort, all meetings scheduled throughout the project are open to the public.

Public Hearing

The Public Hearing was held on Thursday, October 25 at the Calvary Chapel Melbourne located at 2955 Minton Road in West Melbourne. The Public Hearing began with an open house at 5 p.m. and ended at 7 p.m., with a formal presentation at 6 p.m. Members of the project team and FDOT were available to explain the project and answer questions. Project documents as well as the public hearing exhibits and handouts are available on the Project Documents page.

Project Kickoff Presentation
A Project Kickoff Presentation was given to the Space Coast TPO in October 2010.

Alternatives Public Meeting
The purpose of this meeting was to present the results of the study to date and obtain comments on the viable alternatives that are being considered. The meeting was held on Thursday, March 29 at the West Melbourne Veterans Memorial Complex located at 2285 Minton Road in West Melbourne. The meeting will began with an open house at 5:00 p.m. Members of the project team and FDOT were available to explain the project exhibits and answer questions. During the meeting, a video presentation was available for viewing. All documents from this meeting are available on the Project Documents page.
